Whats Up In Michigan
It has been a short while since my last post, it has not been for lack of things going on in Michigan. Some of my absence is been because we have had such great fall weather, that I have been out and about enjoying the Wonderful Michigan Fall. I had a great round of golf a few weeks ago at Kensington State Park, enjoy seeing the beautiful leaves change color on my way to work everyday and raking them into the street on the weekends. I can not believe that it is already November, before we know it winter will be here, but do not fret, winter only brings more adventures in Michigan.
Not only has the weather changed in Michigan, but the economy is slowly starting to change. Just as winter is starting to creep in to the forecast, the tide is changing in Michigan. Ford Motor Company had their first profitable quarter in over a year, an uptick in houses selling in Michigan, and many Michigan retail businesses are hiring for the holiday season. Big ups to Moosejaw Mountaineering, who has hired around 200 seasonal employees. I know that times are still tough for many people in Michigan, but just as I stated four months ago when I started this blog, I will continue to find and bring to the world the positives that are going on in Michigan. This is a great state to live in, and yes we have been kicked while we are down, but Michigan has begun to punch and crawl back. To end my little update, I saw a T-Shirt at AL’s Famous Deli (great Deli, on Woodward and 14) it read “Tough Times will pass, Tough people will not”. That statement sums up Michigan, and why Michigan is A Great Place to Work, Live, and Play.
