Favorite Fall Place in Michigan

Red Cedar River
As I walk down the path the leaves are starting to turn colors, there is a crispness in the air, it feels like a new begininng. I can hear the water in the background flowing, as it weaves its way between the rock tree branches that are reaching to touch the water. As the sun shines down on this small piece of heaven, I have a feeling of excitement, renewel, and good memories from the past. My favorite place in Michigan is walking down the banks of the Red Cedar at Michigan State along the path that runs down Red Cedar Road from the Sparty Statue to Wells Hall.
This walk just hit so many of my senses, the beauty of the leaves changing colors, my memories of walking the path thinking of all the good things that were going to happen in the school year ahead of me and how MSU was going to shape the rest of my life. The perfect weather, just warm enought to still be wearing tee shirts but not to hot. Listening to the Red Cedar flowing in the background giving me a calm feeling. The crowd of students, all seem to be well rested, from the summer that had just past. As I walk this path today, not as a student but as a proud alumnist, it still feels like home. It is nice that it has not changed the Red Cedar is still flowing, the leaves are still starting to turn colors, the weather is perfect, execpt now I see how much I have accomplished since those days, yet I still have the feeling of renewal.
