In the the 2009 Inc. Magazine 500 / 5,000 fastest growing companies issue, Michigan had 118 companies in the top 5,000, along with 6 in top 500.  Many beleive that Michigan does not have any business going on.  This is statement that businesses can be sustained and grow in Michigan.  This list is of the fastest growing businesses, so it does not take into account the bigger businesses that are already established in Michigan.  These are companies that we as Michiganders should be looking to, to lead us into the next generation of business.  I am proud to live and work in Michigan, and am proud that these companies have set up in Michigan, and are helping to make Michigan a better place.  Congradulations to all 118 companies!
