This past weekend was the perfect weekend in Michigan.  It was sunny all weekend, with temperatures in the 80′s with very little humidity (for summer).  The nights were still warm, but very comfortable.  On a summer night like we had this weekend, there is nothing better than getting together with a group of friends sitting outside with some cold beverages and just enjoying the weather.

In a previous post I challenged the readers to try to buy as many Michigan products as they can.  I wanted to share with everyone my Saturday Night get together with friends, as an example of how to truly enjoy a Michigan Summer.  We enjoyed a large selection of beers from the Atwater Brewery, Bell’s Brewery, Michigan Brewing Company, and Founders Brewing Company.  For the wine connaisseurs we opened two bottles from Black Star Farms and 45 North.  For my friends who were looking for a non alcoholic beverage we had many different flavors of Faygo.  We also had some snacks from Germack pistachio company and Better Made potateo chips.  This was a great way to celebrate the perfect Michigan Summer Night.
